In the 106th Psalm, starting in verse 37, is this section, talking about the sins of Israel:

They sacrificed their sons
    and their daughters to false gods.
They shed innocent blood,
    the blood of their sons and daughters,
whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan,
    and the land was desecrated by their blood.
They defiled themselves by what they did;
    by their deeds they prostituted themselves.
Therefore the Lord was angry with his people
    and abhorred his inheritance.

The United States is obsessed with racial injustice right now. Hatred based on race is certainly evil, but it isn’t the greatest evil. In Scripture, one of the greatest evils is sacrificing one’s children to false gods. In the United States, we are the false gods we sacrifice our children to. Over sixty million children have been sacrificed to our vanity and selfishness.

God was patient with the Canaanites. He is patient with us. But when He sends His justice, we will have earned it.
