I have not read the full ruling against Tom Wolf in Pennsylvania, but what I’ve read so far is excellent. Every wannabe tyrant governor needs a court to shut them down like this:

The Constitution cannot accept the concept of a ‘new normal’ where the basic liberties of the people can be subordinated to open-ended emergency mitigation measures.

In California, churches are still restricted to fewer people than Walmart is allowed to have in a single department. In Michigan, student athletes are required to wear masks while competing, under the presumption that their magical qualities will, like charms, ward off the evil spirits that cause – among school age children – a cold.

I suspect only a minority has been awakened to the intrinsic impulse to tyranny that the sorts of people who reach high office possess, but it was only a minority that started and achieved the American republic, and it may be all we need this time.
