The 1980’s and 1990’s were a good time to grow up and the evil degenerate scum who made it into power during that period and has since calcified into our current aristocracy have done everything in their power to destroy it. They’ve largely succeeded, for now. When they die, I hope we damn their memory and find something good on the other side. Even better would be to evict them from their stronghold.
If we must wait, I can’t think of a better way to spend the time than to build locally in defiance of them.
